Affordable Design and Entrepreneurship is a year-long senior capstone project at Olin College. I was the PM for my team of seven students from Olin and Babson colleges.

Students work with people in communities around the world to address challenges endemic to poverty and democratize opportunity. Together they create new products and social ventures to reduce burden, increase yields, expand education, improve health, and generate income.

Our team, focused on the needs of communities in Massachusetts, decided to address food insecurity by helping local farmers combat the harsh New England spring weather. By providing farmers with an affordable technology to remotely monitor the conditions of their propagation chambers, extending their growing season, we could increase the amount of fresh food available to people experiencing food insecurity.
